Signs:
– Accent, give prominence to play with the force
[Respectively, Marcato strong accent, the normal accent and tenuto]
– The music or the passage between the points to be played again
(fermata) – musical symbol placed over a note or a silence that extended beyond the duration normal
– Tie or bind, indicating that the note being played or sung sustained, uninterrupted, through the total time value of the notes
– Ligation, a group of notes are played with one bow stroke (string), or without retonguing (wind), or a sigh (singing), so that notes move smoothly without perceptible interruption
– The metronome marking, which indicates the speed at which a piece is to be played 60 crotchets to the minute
– Until the arc (bent instrument – arc is pushed through the chain) to time (guitar – the string is pulled with the hand moving up)
– Below arc (bowed instrument – Arc pulled through the chain), for stroke (guitar – the string is pulled with the hand moving downwards)
– Unless strong emphasis placed above or below the note means that it must be stressed, but not as strong as when they are marked as> or
