Rude and greedy behavior among adults is contributing to the epidemic of gang and knife crime among children according to Sir Alan Steer, adviser to the British Government's conduct above.
With regard to the growing problem of crime knife, Sir Alan said: "It is connected to a violent sub – culture. But we have some responsibility. Sometimes adults do not model the behavior we want our young to follow. Of course, children have a great responsibility, but there are doubts about what is happening at home. Parents have an enormous responsibility. Government did not raise children, parents do. "
In my job as coach of the parents helping parents to be more aware of their influence on their children. Whether through the words they use, or the actions they take, parents are models for their children throughout their lives – from child to teenager – if they are aware of it, like her, or even accept.
Parents play a key role to play in the solution to knife crime, and although this particular social problem is more important for teenagers than children under five years, it is never too early to determine a child on the way to behave responsibly. If the child is too young to make certain decisions themselves, then it is up to parents to make these decisions on their behalf.
Set positive goals for the future — Children who know where they are much more likely to succeed in life. While it is fine to set goals with a child, is the discipline that is the key to reducing the gap between setting goals for children and is delivering. Many children self-discipline difficult. It's all about to begin in small ways with minor changes. Some simple changes can do wonders to take forward in more positive direction for success. It is the mentality of a thousand-mile journey starting with the first step.
The wonderful thing that seems to emerge from these small steps is that there is no bombshell on other areas of your life as well as a positive thing seems to lead to one that is based more around self-esteem very quickly.
Look at the people walking with a child – these are the people who influence their lives, either positively or negatively, and can push a child of course, a little at a time, until finally say, "God, how I end up here?". It is useful to consider three key issues: i. Who does the child spends time with (if it is a child or adult)? II. What are these associations to make or for the child? – What have these people make the child, listening, reading, thinking and feeling? III. Is this correct? Once answered, then it is deciding whether these people are a positive and energizing influence, or have a negative effect and downward spiral. There are then three options: i. Decoupling of these people II. Iii limit their association. Expand your friendships and associations with successful people more optimistic – "friends of purpose '- how are you can sky rocket self-esteem and happiness.
Watch what they do – children need support and help from their parents and teachers and other influential adults around them. They need positive role models to encourage, guide and push in the right direction and support through a change of address. It is useful for parents or other adult with the aim of setting role model and self-discipline, even in simple ways, such as eating a piece of fruit each day, or walk dogs for exercise every morning. It's simple, small things that lead to building great habits over time.
Sue Atkins says: "It's about helping young people have future we hope that they create and get excited, whatever it is for them. It is about helping to influence and inspire a child at a time. It is also about setting fair firm and consistent boundaries for them to feel "tough love" to be guided, protected and nurtured. It's about being a positive role model and exciting for them to follow. Thus that we can gradually change, influence and improve our society over time. "
It is about teaching children the philosophy of empowering Jim Rohn (an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker): "You must take personal responsibility. You can not change the circumstances, the seasons, or wind, but you can change yourself. That's something we are responsible for. You do not have charge of the constellations, but they are responsible if they read, develop new skills, and take new classes. Walk to the crowd 97%. Do not use their excuses. Take charge of your own life. "
