How do I roast chestnuts? ?
My first attempt ended with them roasted chestnuts in the blast furnace. I had made a small hole in each of them with a knife, but am I supposed to cut them open environment before putting them in the oven? when I opened that had not exploded were too soft to get the husks off. Cook for 40 minutes, is this too long? How can I get the perfect hot chestnuts that come directly of his shell?
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Make an x in the top of each chestnut with a sharp knife. put them on a baking sheet in the long for about 15-20 until you can peel easily (the corners of the X should be screwed and you can just peel the shell away).
