Another great buy from Amazon. The knife is sharp out of the box and well made, as you'd expect from a Gerber. It comes with a nylon pouch instead of the usual pocket-clip and is very light weight. A folding knife will never totally replace a fixed blade knife for heavy work but this knife is a good compromise.

I have multiple fixed blade knives for working, but this is the main folding knife that I carry with me. It opens very easily and smoothly. Some other knives are difficult to open with one hand, either because of their small size or just poor design. Keep in mind that this is not a "gentleman's" blade and a law enforecement officer informed that a CCWP would be necessary to carry this blade around in your pocket or holstered (at least in Florida).
Pretty good knife!

I bought both the fixed and folding versions of this knife. I bought them to replace my CRKT My Tighe after it finally woreour form many years of heavy use. I unfortunately lost my Benchmade somewhere in the hills of Afghanistan. I needed a replacement and didn't want to waste money on the bazaar knockoffs. When i got the knives I was instantly pleased. They felt great ans were easy enough to carry around. I use the folder on a daily basis and it has performed well. One thing I love is the grip. I was sold when I was out cutting strapps in the rain and it was no problem.
Sheath is not ideal

The only thing that I would change is the loop position on the sheath. It's only able to be positioned vertically on your belt, I would prefer being able to position it horizontally.

This is a great knife for the money. It comes with a belt holster rather than a belt clip. It is well-made by Gerber who makes a great value in a knife, especially if you can find it on sale as this one was. It feels firm and comfortable when holding in your hand with a textured grip that fits in the hand well. The operation of the opening and closing of the blade is easy, smooth and precise. The features it does not have, that I have thought, I might like to have, are an attachable belt clip option for quicker access to the knife if needed or desired, but overall it is a great pocket or holster knife. RECOMMENDED.
