A solid, versatile knife at an excellent price

UPDATE May 25,2007 - The Amazon price has risen from $22 to $30. It's still an excellent knife (my son loves it), and probably worth the money, but not the excellent buy that it was at the lower price point. Might be worth waiting to see if Amazon lowers the price.
March 10, 2007 - Like all Buck knives, this is a solid tool. The modified tanto blade is heavy duty, and allows for punching through hard objects and for scraping. It opens easily with one hand and locks very dependably. And the blade is partially serrated adding to the versatility
This is top value as a utility knife, or for hiking and camping. If you're a survivalist, the Bones will also fit the bill. It is too big to really be classified as a pocket knife.
A great buy for the price. |

| I collect knives and this knife is great. It is practical and stylish too. It has a great tactical look, balances fairly well, and is extremely sharp. Great bang for the buck. |
Good Knife, Good Price

| I like this knife..It looks mean and upsets the PC Police....I got it at Wal-Mart really cheap.....It is kinda heavy and it might make your pants sag....It is made in China, but, who cares??...As long as the price is right..and it is a Buck Knife!! |
i'd do it again

for the money it is well worth it.
it's light and easy to carry esp w/ the removable clip.
takes awhile to break in so it will open w/the thum stud.
i nearly wore the skin off my thumb breaking it in so it would open smoothly as the thumb stud is really ruff and could use a lil visit from a file.
the only real drag is
that the part of the frame that springs over to lock the blade in place
quickly looses some of its spring,
so,
if u are realy going to be using it for something ruff u kind of have to hold pressure on the lock w/ your index finger to keep the blade solidly locked w/ no play.
it locks in place w/ out the pressure but there is a little bit of play and i reeeeeally like my fingers so i keep my index pressed on it.
finish looks super cool.
the quality of the blade is worth the price alone.
not perfect but compared to some of the blades i have seen it looks and feels like a way higher quality.
i purchased something else at the same time and used the free shipping option so it took a good 2 weeks to get. |
Not bad but not the best.

This knife has a unique visual style and design that compelled me to buy it, and it feels nice in the hand. I have a passion for tactical knives but don't have very many, so I don't have a whole lot to compare. However I can say I like this better then a smith and wesson knife that I've had for a long time. The lock back lever "sticks out" the front more then the smith and wesson. As in, it slightly protrudes from the handle so that you can easily push it out of the way with your thumb and close the knife with one hand.
I do have some problems with this knife. I wish the knife was available without the partial serrations. I also have some issues with the amount of play with the blade. It feels a little too wobbily. This knife will not close on your fingers or anything but it should just feel more solid. |
